Data we process

When you load this site, our hosting provider automatically logs technical request data: your IP address, the requested URL, the HTTP method and response status, the referrer (if your browser sends one), the user-agent string, and the timestamp. This is standard server log data required to deliver a website over the public internet.

We do not set cookies. We do not run analytics, fingerprinting, A/B testing, ad pixels, or any third-party scripts. We do not maintain user accounts and we do not collect form submissions on this site.

Purpose & legal basis

Processing of the request data described above is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The legitimate interest is the secure, stable, and abuse-resistant delivery of this website.

Hosting & processors

This site is served by Cloudflare Workers. The operator is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. A Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) are in place. Where data is transferred to the United States, Cloudflare is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection (Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795).

All traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit via TLS.

Retention

Hosting-edge logs are retained for the period necessary to ensure operational security and to investigate abuse — typically a matter of days, and not longer than required by Art. 5(1)(e) GDPR (storage limitation). We do not maintain separate log copies on our end.

The iQualize app itself

iQualize is a native macOS application. It processes audio entirely on your device. No audio data, EQ settings, presets, telemetry, crash reports, or usage metrics are transmitted off your Mac by the application. The app contains no analytics SDK and makes no outbound network requests for tracking purposes.

Your rights under the GDPR

  • Access — Art. 15 GDPR.
  • Rectification — Art. 16 GDPR.
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten") — Art. 17 GDPR.
  • Restriction of processing — Art. 18 GDPR.
  • Data portability — Art. 20 GDPR.
  • Object — Art. 21 GDPR. You may at any time object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Withdraw consent — Art. 7(3) GDPR (where any processing is based on consent; on this site, none is).
  • Lodge a complaint — Art. 77 GDPR. The competent supervisory authority for our jurisdiction is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

To exercise any of these rights, write to legal@darius.codes. We respond within the Art. 12(3) GDPR time limit (one month, extensible by two further months for complex requests).

No automated decision-making

We do not perform automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
